KESCA has been involved in policy and legislation processes nationally. The organization, recognized as a key actor has been involved in the development of national Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children in Kenya (2014), The National Care Reform Strategy, Case Management for the Reintegration of Children into Family or Community Based Care and Gatekeeping Guidelines for Children in Kenya. Internationally, KESCA has participated in conferences and workshops to highlight the care leavers and to advocate for their support and inclusion in decision-making processes on matters that touch their lives.
We are a registered Society with a growing collective of young people and adults with lived experience with representation across all Counties in Kenya.
